This includes the consultation where the shape and colour will be decided, pre treatment numbing, actual procedure, followed by aftercare.
Please note that the importance of deciding on the shape and colour will never be rushed as it is imperative that clients feel 100% happy with their choice before the treatment begins.

[/vcmp_afaq_content][vcmp_afaq_content vcmp_faq_title=”How long does it last?”]The pigment will progressively fade over time although not completely disappear. Some claim between 2-5 years although in actual fact there is no guarantee as each client is different and lifestyles play a major role.
Aftercare advice should be followed in order to maximise the longevity of semi-permanent makeup.

There are several factors which can affect the longevity such as long exposure to the sun, how each individuals skin regenerates and choice of colour (some colours fade quicker than others).

[/vcmp_afaq_content][vcmp_afaq_content vcmp_faq_title=”What factors affect semi permanent make up?”]

  • How long you spend in the sun. (The longer you spend in the sun the faster the pigment will fade)
  • The regeneration of skin cells. (The longer the regeneration the longer the pigment holds)
  • The choice of colour. (Some colours fade quicker than others)

[/vcmp_afaq_content][vcmp_afaq_content vcmp_faq_title=”What if my colours ‘go out’ of fashion?”]As semi-permanent makeup professionals, we would never create a look that is too ‘trendy’. We simply use colours which are custom blended to compliment your skin tone, eye and hair colour in order to give a soft, natural appearance.
If you simply preferred a different colour in the future, colours may be changed at any time by simply blending another colour over the original colour.

[/vcmp_afaq_content][vcmp_afaq_content vcmp_faq_title=”Is it painful?”]As each individual has his/her own pain threshold, it is difficult to predict the level of discomfort that you may encounter.
We do however, aim to minimise any discomfort with the application of a topical anaesthetic during the procedure.

[/vcmp_afaq_content][vcmp_afaq_content vcmp_faq_title=”Is there a chance of Infection?”]Although it is virtually impossible to guarantee a 0% chance of infection, we strive to minimise any potential infection by adhering to the strictest safety procedures. Sterile needles from sealed packets are used in every single procedure.

[/vcmp_afaq_content][vcmp_afaq_content vcmp_faq_title=”Is it expensive?”]Looking from a long term point of view and bearing in mind how much you will save on cosmetics over the next few years, the answer is no plus you also have the time saving aspect and the fact that it won’t run or wash off!

[/vcmp_afaq_content][vcmp_afaq_content vcmp_faq_title=”How soon can I go out?”]Immediately! As mentioned earlier the colour may appear a little darker than required for the first few days. Occasionally the initial crusting is slightly visible, but never enough to be noticeable.

[/vcmp_afaq_content][vcmp_afaq_content vcmp_faq_title=”Does it look natural?”]Janice always advises her clients to select natural looking enhancements. The enhancements should not look conspicuous, they should stay in harmony with your features, skin tone and skin colour. People will notice the improvement in your appearance without being aware of your treatment.
